Lors de notre "road trip" en Floride en février 2015. On a terminé la journée sur la plage de Lover's Key à photographier les oiseaux et admirer le soleil couchant. La citation est tirée du poème L'invitation au voyage de Charles Beaudelaire.

From our road trip to Florida in February 2015. We finished the day on the beach of Lover's Key taking pictures of birds and admiring the sunset. Blarney

Dernière page de l'Irlande 2010. Près de Cork nous avons visité le château médiéval de Blarney et les magnifiques jardins. Ma belle-soeur Carmen fut la seule brave de notre groupe à embrasser la légendaire pierre de l'éloquence au sommet du château.

Last page for Ireland 2010. Near Cork we visited the medieval Blarney Castle and the beautiful gardens. My sister-in-law Carmen was the only one brave enough to kiss the legendary Blarney stone, the stone of eloquence at the top of the castle.

Bunratty / Anneau du Kerry

Toujours dans notre tournée de l'Irlande nous avons visité Bunratty et son impressionnant château du 15e siècle. Le lendemain nous avons parcouru le circuit touristique: l'Anneau du Kerry et ses nombreux points de vue pittoresques.

Also on our tour of Ireland we visited Bunratty and its impressive 15th century castle. The next day we went through the circular tourist route: the Ring of Kerry and its many scenic views.

En juillet 2010, toujours en Irlande. À quelques kilomètres de Killarney, ce magnifique manoir de style Tudor et ses jardins luxuriants.

In Dublin Fair City...

Lors de notre voyage en Irlande en 2010. On a eu un après-midi libre à Dublin pour se promener et géocacher.

On our trip in Ireland in 2010. We had a free afternoon in Dublin wandering around and geocaching. Journaling says: "5 of us went to look for clues of a multi-cache that we didn't find. But we saw the Post Office, the statue of Molly Malone and crossed a beautiful park. We came back running to join Denis just in time to catch the bus for the dinner show."

Lors de notre voyage au Royaume-Uni en juillet 2010. On a visité:  la cathédrale gothique York Minster et sa crypte, les ruines de l’abbaye St. Mary, les « Shambles » (la rue des bouchers, étroite et médiévale), et on s’est promené sur les remparts qui encerclent le centre-ville.

During our trip to the United Kingdom in July 2010. We visited: the York Minster gothic cathedral and its crypt, the ruins of St. Mary's Abbey, the narrow and medieval Shambles (street of butchers), and walked on the walls that surround the city center.

Conwy

Lors de notre voyage au Royaume-Uni en juillet 2010. Avant de prendre le traversier pour l'Irlande on a visité Conwy. "On a apprécié la courte visite de Conwy au Pays de Galles, son château du 13e siècle et sa plus petite maison de Grande-Bretagne. De plus il a fallu toute la finesse de conduite de Dick pour sortir l'autobus par le passa très étroit des fortifications."

From our trip to the United Kingdom in July 2010. Before the ferry to Ireland we visited Conwy. " We enjoyed the short visit of Conwy in Wales, its 13th century castle and its smallest house in Great Britain. Also it took Dick's skills to drive the bus through the narrow passage of the fortifications."
